Be more prepared than me!

Day One was not full of disaster, but also wasn't as super duper smooth as I could have desired.  I did bring a minimal things necessary but could have benefited from preparing with much more!

What to bring on your first day:
Gait Belt
Watch
Measuring Tape
Pen(s)
Clipboard
Notebook/Paper
Cheat sheet for commonly used ICD-9 codes and CPT codes for your setting
Copy of all your paperwork including TB test & professional license
Copies of any of your favorite standardized tests (tinetti, berg, or whatnot)
A lunch
A smile :)

Be ready and excited to see patients on day one.  There will probably be some amount of mandatory paperwork and a bit of time to get you into the EMR if they have one, but once that is settled, off you go!
